Dancers’ picture day schedules and ordering envelopes are coming home this week. Guidelines for Picture Day are below.

All finale dancers need to have their performance earrings (mentioned on the costume info sheet) before picture day. If your dancer does not already have these, please stop in before picture day. We have posts and clip-ons.

As a reminder, we are on holiday break from Monday, December 22 through Friday, January 2. Classes resume on Monday, January 5.

Costumes are coming home this month! Costumes may come home at any class over the next three weeks. When you receive your dancer’s costumes, please use the checklist to ensure you have everything. Your dancer’s costumes will only come home once all payments are up to date; this includes, but is not limited to, tuition, costumes, and applicable late fees.

As a reminder, Dance Workshop is on holiday break for two weeks at the end of the year: December 22 through January 2. Information about Picture Day (Jan 16, 17, 18) may come home before, during, or after the break depending on when we get the paperwork from our photographers.

Promotions and holiday hours at Kingdom Dance Shoppe are happening now.

Color Classes: Because we have a long holiday break again this year, we will have another Holiday Dance Challenge! That challenge will come home before the break and will also be posted on our Drive.

Looking Ahead to Summer:

Halloween is next week, and that means it’s time to dress up for dance class! Students are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes to class the week of 10/27. Old recital costumes are great, too! (Please have your dancer wear a leotard and tights under their costume as a back up.)

If your dancer dances twice a week, we will wear costumes on day two (Red & Silver: Tuesday / Yellow & Teal: Thursday).

Friday Class Reminder: There is no Acro or Hiphop on Halloween night. We will have our last two Friday classes on the first and second Friday of November.

Information about costume payment is coming home this week and next. On this info sheet, you will find a list of your dancer’s costumes and tights as well as the balance due for his/her costume(s).

Costumes will be distributed the week of December 8 at the earliest. They will not be sent home unless all outstanding balances have been paid.

Costume payment is due by Thursday, October 30. {Any dancer who has more than four dances may pay for costumes in two payments: half by Thursday, October 30 and the remainder by Thursday, November 20.}

Reminder–Color Classes & Marigolds: Friday class sign ups (Acro 2 & Hiphop) are due next Thursday, September 25.

Before class, please make sure you are familiar with our drop off and pick up policies. If you are not the primary driver for your dancer, please make sure their driver is aware of how we do drop off and pick up.

Please make sure your dancer arrives dressed for class with her hair in a ballet bun. (If your dancer is a boy or has very short hair, their hair just needs to be out of their eyes.) If you do not know how to make a proper ballet bun, there are tutorials on the website here.

Students will not be able to buy shoes or clothing at KDS the first week of classes. This time is just too hectic to add the shop into the mix. Our first scheduled open day is Saturday, September 13, and after the first week, students can shop before and after class as usual.
